IoT Solutions Engineer - Smart Water Metering

About the Role

Join Greenify's Smart Water Metering team to design and deploy IoT-based ultrasonic water metering solutions. You will work with Kamstrup meters, wMBus communication protocols, and LoRaWAN/NB-IoT connectivity to help cities and enterprises reduce non-revenue water by up to 30%. This role involves firmware integration, gateway configuration, and end-to-end system commissioning across residential, commercial, and municipal installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement IoT communication architectures for smart water metering deployments using LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, and wMBus protocols
• Configure and commission Kamstrup FlowIQ ultrasonic meters and third-party gateway hardware
• Develop firmware interfaces and protocol parsers for wMBus frame decryption and data extraction
• Collaborate with the MeterSync platform team to ensure seamless data pipeline integration
• Conduct site surveys, prepare technical proposals, and support pre-sales activities
• Troubleshoot field issues including RF coverage, meter communication failures, and data anomalies
• Maintain technical documentation for installation guides, commissioning procedures, and SOPs

Requirements

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
• 3-5 years of experience in IoT system design, embedded systems, or telecom
• Hands-on experience with LPWAN protocols (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Sigfox) or wMBus
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages for firmware and scripting tasks
• Understanding of RF communication, antenna design, and signal propagation
• Experience with Linux-based embedded platforms (Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, or similar)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kamstrup or Diehl metering products
• Knowledge of DLMS/COSEM protocol stacks
• AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT Hub experience
• Prior experience in water utility or smart city projects
